The water

Boat days

A llaüt or a RIB from Port de Pollença or Palma, 20 to 40 minutes from the house, with a skipper, lunch on board and the coves you cannot reach by road.

The day

Out by ten, back for a swim

A skipper meets you at Port de Pollença, 35 minutes from the house. A llaüt, the Mallorcan wooden boat, for a slow day along the north coast; a RIB if you want to reach Formentor and the caves and still be back for lunch. Swimming off the bow, an anchorage for lunch, a cove with nobody in it.

Lunch comes aboard from the chef or from a restaurant on the water in Cala Sant Vicenç; the Binissalem rosé comes from the house.

The coves

The ones you cannot drive to

Cala en Gossalba, Es Coll Baix, the inlet below the Formentor lighthouse: coves with no road, where the boat is the only way in and the water is clearer for it. The skipper knows which are empty on which day of the week.

From Palma

The south side, when the north has wind

From the Palma marina, 25 minutes away: Cala Pi and Es Caló des Moro along the south-east coast, or Dragonera to the west. Sailing boats for a full day; a sunset sail with dinner on board for the last night.

Questions people ask

How far is the boat from the house?

Port de Pollença is 35 minutes by car, the Palma marina 25. We do not arrange transport; book a taxi if nobody wants to drive after the rosé.

What if the weather turns?

The skipper calls it the evening before; we move to the other coast or to a spare day. Boat days are never charged for weather.

Can we combine it with a cove by car?

Yes: 20 minutes to the first cove from the house, and we tell you which one on which day.

Tell us the day, and how many of you.

We reply within 24 hours, usually sooner, and we will tell you honestly whether the house is right for it.
