Getting ready

The morning belongs to the house

The wedding party gets ready in the main house, with the shutters half-closed against the heat and breakfast on the porch. Everyone is already on site, so there is no car to wait for: the ceremony is thirty steps from the door.

The ceremony

Under the carob tree

Benches on the gravel, the drapes in the branches, the pool behind and the Tramuntana on the horizon. The light at seven in June is the reason people come here.

Reception

One long table

Reception drinks outdoors for up to 80, candles along the long table, the Binissalem wines open, the cake brought out from the kitchen. Dancing until midnight; the stars after that.

Later

Someone always ends up in the pool

It is lit, it is warm until October, and the dress will dry. Breakfast on the porch the next morning with everyone who stayed is, most couples tell us, the best part.

What we can arrange

Everything but the vows

Planning

You bring your own planner; we handle the venue side: timings, power, access and the neighbours.

Ceremony

Under the carob tree or in the fruit garden, with benches, drapes in the branches and sound for the vows. The legal part is done at a registry before you arrive.

Food

Your caterer, from canapés and a Mallorcan asado to a seated dinner for a smaller party; pizza from the wood-fired oven for the welcome night; the private chef for breakfasts and the Sunday lunch.

Drinks

Wines from the four Binissalem cellars within ten minutes, a bar for the night, drinks by the pool at golden hour.

Flowers and styling

Table linen, candles, lanterns and parasols for the ceremony.

Music

DJ or band until midnight, then the music stops. A guitarist for the ceremony if you wish.

Photography and film

Your photographer and videographer; the light is best in the morning and again from seven.

Hair and make-up

Your own hair and make-up team to the house on the morning.

Children

Up to two cots and two high chairs in the house. The pool is not fenced, so a nanny for the night is wise; bring your own.

The days around

Boat day from the north coast, a winery morning, yoga under the carob tree, a paella lunch in the garden, the market in Santa Maria.

Questions people ask

How many guests can we have?

80 at most, at all times, and that includes the 12 adults staying at the house. The limit is set by parking, space, toilets and power, so it holds for the ceremony, the drinks reception and the dancing alike.

Until what time can we play music?

Amplified music until midnight, and then the music stops.

Can we get legally married at the finca?

A civil marriage in Spain needs at least one of you to be a resident, so most couples do the legal part at a registry office at home and hold the ceremony itself here.

Where do the other guests stay?

12 adults sleep at the house. Everyone else books their own accommodation nearby. Palma is 25 minutes away.

Can we bring our own suppliers?

Yes, and we expect you to. You choose your own planner, caterer, florist and photographer; we send the practical requirements of the house with every quote.

What months are best?

May, June, September and October for the light and the temperature. July and August are hot at midday; ceremonies start at seven. With room for only 30 indoors, weddings are planned for the outdoors, with a backup for the weather.

Can we use the house for the days before and after?

That is how most weddings here work: the party arrives Thursday, the welcome dinner is Friday, the wedding Saturday, a slow lunch Sunday, and late check-out Monday. The brochure sets out the shape of the weekend.

How do we get a quote?

Tell us the month and the guest count. We reply within 24 hours with availability and a full proposal for the weekend, accommodation for 12 adults included.

Tell us the month, and who is coming.

We reply within 24 hours, usually sooner, and we will tell you honestly whether the house is right for it.
