Source: https://lacasadelosgrandes.com/faq Questions # Everything people ask If yours is not here, [ask us](https://lacasadelosgrandes.com/enquire) and we add it. ## The house **How many bedrooms does La Casa de los Grandes have?** 6: 5 in the main house and 1 in the separate guest house, sleeping 12 in total. **Is the whole property private?** Book both houses and the whole estate is yours: no other guests, no owners on site. That is guaranteed in July, August, Christmas and New Year. At other times the guest house may be let to other guests, and the pool is then shared. To book the whole estate outside those weeks, get in touch first: the two houses are priced separately, so we quote them together. **Is there a pool?** A 10-metre saltwater pool that starts shallow and deepens gradually, so small children can paddle at one end while adults swim at the other. In sun from about ten until late afternoon. It is not fenced. **Is there air conditioning?** In every bedroom and living room, plus ceiling fans on the porch. **How fast is the Wi-Fi?** About 300 Mbps fibre with mesh points covering both houses and the pool area. **Is the house suitable for people with limited mobility?** The ground floor of the main house is step-free, with one bedroom and bathroom on that level. The guest house has two steps at the door. **Are pets allowed?** Yes, pets are welcome. Tell us when you book. **Can more people stay?** The house sleeps 12 adults across 6 bedrooms, 3 of which can be set up as twins or kings. There is one rollaway adult bed and up to 2 baby cots, and no other extra beds. **Is smoking allowed?** Outside only. ## Booking **How do I book?** Send an enquiry with your dates and who is coming; we reply within 24 hours with availability and a proposal. We rarely hold dates without a payment. **What is the minimum stay?** 2 nights; 5 nights in July, August, Christmas and New Year. **What are check-in and check-out times?** Check-in from 15:00, check-out by 10:00. Earlier or later by arrangement when the calendar allows. **What is the deposit and cancellation policy?** 30% to confirm, the balance 60 days before arrival. Cancellations more than 90 days out are refunded less the deposit; within 90 days, the balance is refundable only if we re-let the dates. We recommend travel insurance. **Do you charge a security deposit?** A refundable security hold, released within 7 days of departure; the amount is confirmed at booking. **Can a smaller group book just the main house?** Sometimes, outside July, August, Christmas and New Year: the main house sleeps 10 adults, with no outside guests. The guest house may then be booked by other guests, in which case the pool is shared. In those peak weeks the whole estate is booked together. **Can I book on Airbnb instead?** Yes, the house is on Airbnb. Booking directly avoids the platform fees. ## Getting here **How far is the airport?** 20 minutes by car. We do not arrange transport; hire a car or book a taxi from the airport. **Do we need a car?** Yes. The nearest supermarket is 10 minutes away by car. **How far is the beach?** 20 minutes to the north-coast coves, 30 to Alcúdia, 40 to Es Trenc. ## Families **Is the house child-friendly?** Yes: cots, high chairs, stair gates, a pool with a shallow end made for small children (it is not fenced), a fruit garden to pick from, and a pizza oven children can help with. **Can you arrange a babysitter?** Yes, with 48 hours’ notice. **Is there a cot and a high chair?** Two cots and two high chairs, free on request. ## Events and groups **Can we hold a wedding at the finca?** Yes: ceremony on site, a drinks reception outdoors for up to 80 guests in total, including the 12 staying, music until midnight, with the whole house for the wedding party. See [shoots](https://lacasadelosgrandes.com/gather/shoots). **Can we bring our own caterer?** Yes for events; for stays our chef is available but the kitchen is yours. **What if it rains?** Indoors holds about 30 people across the dining room, kitchen and family room, so every outdoor event needs a backup plan agreed in advance. ## Food and wine **Can we book a private chef?** Yes, by the day or for single dinners. Ferrer (8 min), Celler Tianna Negre (9 min), Bodega Ribas (7 min), Vins Nadal (8 min). **Can we have groceries delivered before we arrive?** Yes: send a list a week ahead and the fridge is full when you walk in. ## Tell us the dates and the occasion.
